snefrev:

i finally got my book printed and since only two copies of it exist i thought that i should show yall this wonderful piece of art

I always have a hard time explaining what I do at Dark Horse. I take art from artists and put it in a layout for them so they don’t break down trying to figure it out. That’s one part of my job anyway. The other part of my job is shaking my fist in the air going “WHY ARTIST, WHY!?”

Drink and draw tonight. Have Sailor Batman.

You’re welcome.

Also, here are these character portraits (with the red head again). If anyone is interested, you can buy prints of these here, and browse through a lot of other really talented artists prints as well to support cancer research. The proceeds are being donated to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.

The Unexpected Roommate

Here’s the comic pages…..

One Short Day in the Emerald City…..

…Or three, but it feels like one. I had a really great time, talking to the artists in the exhibitors hall. I only made it to one panel (Titmouse was unveiling some of their new projects, and I am excited! You have to have respect for a company that doesn’t ship there animation overseas, and isn’t afraid to…well do what they want), but there was so much to see and so many people to talk to. It was very inspiring! Brittney Lee and Mike Yamada were there, and I got to talk to them for a bit, and I met another super talented artist from California that I’d never heard of before (but will stalk like a creeper now that I have), Steph Laberis, who was super nice as well! Check out her work, it’s great!

Anyway…. Here’s some work that’s been a long time coming. With graduation and everything, this blog has been super neglected, but I have no excuses now! Here’s some work I did for another short comic last year, starting with some character development. The comic is called the Unexpected Roommate, in which a lady moved into a haunted house and its inhabitant promptly falls in love with her.

Oh boy, I’m graduating next month, and hopefully I will have more time to share more work. Here’s a painting of a character of mine, and the cover image to my porfolio book. This is definitely a technique I plan on playing around with more!

Welcome to my tumblr, a place where I will be publishing my artwork, including character design, links to animations, sketches, and illustrations. I love feedback of all kinds, but especially the kind that gets me thinking on how I can improve.
This is an older piece, but a favorite of mine. I want to do more paper illustrations, so don’t be surprised to see more of those come in.
